5JWB prepare vegetables and salad for their lunch of vegetable stir fry. Every Monday we prepare and cook a healthy main dish and pudding (today is fruit salad). Students learn how to make simple dishes and navigate a kitchen. This term we have been learning how to make a sandwich with a choice of fillings, vegetable stir fry and jacket potato, again with a choice of toppings.
At Belvue we offer a fantastic range of After School clubs that offer the opportunity for our pupils to interact outside of the classroom environment and learn new skills and provide fun for all. Our clubs help develop our pupil's self-esteem, self-confidence, social and interaction skills. 3JO are revisting number and have been practising their counting skills. They have been practising rote counting and learning to count in groups of 10. They have also been counting objects in a straight line, out of a container and in different arrangements. They found counting objects in different arrangements challenging to start; however, persevered and learnt strategies to learn to do so, an accomplishment they're very proud of. Well done 3JO!
This week 3CO have been looking at habitats in woodlands. We discussed that a habitat is where the live. We discussed our own habitats and Leo’s. In Maths we have started a new topic- shapes. We have been looking at their different properties. In English we have been studying heroes and villains. We discussed our favourite heroes.
