Keeping Our Spirits Up!
We've been keeping our spirits up here at school by singing and playing Best Day of My Life by American Authors. A student demonstrated some excellent drumming skills whilst two others confidently took the vocals as well as developing their chord playing skills on the keyboard. another young man similarly showed expertise on the keyboard and took ownership of one of the song's chords on the electric guitar.
Before we started social distancing this young lady performed I'm Yours by Little Mix in assembly. Her confidence has grown incredibly since she joined the school in September. She took the initiative of asking the Mr Chambers if she could sing in front of the school and gave a brave performance!
Whilst we’re all self-isolating and spending much of our time indoors, nature carries on regardless. In the wood spring has sprung; what two weeks ago were bare trees are now in leaf, and wild flowers are blooming. Over recent years the students have cleared a lot of ground ivy and this is now paying dividends. Seeds that have been dormant for years, maybe decades, are now sprouting, and we’ve primroses, lesser celandine, and snowdrops sprouting. One of the students’ task
Spring in the Class
Starting on Thursday 26th March, the pupils that are currently coming to school are carrying out a project to bring Spring into the classrooms. We are making different drawings of things that you see in Spring, such as butterflies and we will make mobiles for the classes with them, we are having sooo much fun!!!
3SM enjoy participating in the various lessons they have each week. In maths we are practising our sequencing. In English we are reading & re-inacting We are going on a Bear Hunt. One of our favourite lessons is Yoga. Here are a few photos of what we have been doing.
Welcome to Oak 5 Vertical Tutor
We enjoy spending time in our VT, we like to talk about our shared interest, play game and make some craft. VT is the place were we can spend some good times with our friends outside the lessons. We come from a different classes and we can invite our friends from other VT group to join us. In Oak 5 we have different activities during the week like playing board games, karaoke .... Our favorite one is hot chocolate day on Mondays when we gather around and talk about our week
