Awarded Certificates
We received our certificates in assembly. Bronze and Silver Certificate We are proud to say that ALL members of 5PP have been able to earn both their Bronze and Silver certificates. Special mentions go to one of our students , who is the first in Post 16 to get an Gold certificate!


Pointillist Art
One of our young people, enjoying his art lesson. He has mixed some amazing colours to make some pointillist art.


Celebrations
5JG, this week, has been all about friendship, sunshine and celebrating achievements and birthdays. At Belvue we always take the time to ensure that every young person feels extra special for their significant day. In addition, as part of our usual Post 16 Fund Raising Enterprise, students have been organising the Valentine posters, gifts, baked goods and disco for both sites. Which, from past experience, should be a gre at success.


Supported Intership Fayre
We visited the Hammersmith college and took part in the West London Supported Internship Fair 2019 The students were able to see perspective employees and discuss the requirements of future internships. Student feedback “ We had a great time , the college was big.” Jeffery “ We saw some of our old friends, this was cool.” Jay We had fun and saw our old friends.


Planking at the Litten
As part of their Vocational learning, 5SC visit the Litten Nature Reserve, in Greenford. This week the class explored the site finding new things out. Here we can see Sandra walking the plank, followed by the Class! " Sandra is so funny" Laughed Sharmya.


The Workers
5JG’s usual Friday session at Horsenden had been cancelled, as it had been closed for a couple of weeks. However, being dedicated hard workers the class decided to help to tidy up the college grounds instead and they all did an amazing job! Some light relief was had when they found a number of worms and only a few students were brave enough to say they would touch it – and one of them actually did.


Singing staff entertain the students
The staff sang 'Downtown' by Petula Clark to the students during a Thursday morning assembly. They were lead by the singing teacher, Lara, who encouraged the students to join in at the end of the song.

Choir entertain the School
The choir sang as part of the Monday Morning Musical Assembly. They sang 'Shotgun' by George Ezra, 'Perfect' by Ed Sheeran and 'I Got Rhythm' by George Gershwin. A brave and confident performance was given by all!


Belvue explore Baroque music
The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment have been running workshops with students looking at Baroque music. They learned to play a ground bass and improvised their own music alongside the musicians of the orchestra.


Concrete is being Poured
After some delays due to the cold weather the 1st floor slab pour is happening. There are approximately 15 operatives on site and the disruption to the school is minimal with some noise from hand tools and the crane. There is a viewing panel for the pupils to observe the construction work which is proving popular, particularly with the crane on site.
