The building is beginning to take shape with the construction of the concrete frame. The 1st floor slab pour is planned for this week, either Wednesday or Thursday, so the young people will really start to get a sense of the scale of the project. There continues to be little impact on the school other than the on-going noise from hand tools and the crane. All deliveries to the site avoid the agreed school arrival and departure times. Progress has been good on site over the last couple of weeks. The builders are casting the columns and walls ground to first floor at present with about half completed. The forecast cold weather this week may however slow things down! The builders plan to cast the first half of the 1st floor slab next week (weather permitting).
Over the Christmas holidays Osborne have poured the majority of the ground floor slab. The hoarding around the building site has now been installed, but still needs to be painted. Last week Osborne completed the ground floor slab and have taken delivery of a very large crane! The crane will be used to install the concrete frame. The work on installing the frame will commence this week and should take about 8 weeks to complete. The estimated completion date for the new buildi
