Our students will develop scientific skills and understanding that are appropriate for their individual abilities. They will have opportunities to practice and consolidate learning through enjoyable, meaningful and enriching hands-on experiences, which will foster their curiosity and also encourage different ways of thinking and drawing conclusions.

In preparation for adulthood our students will:

• Develop a scientific approach which encourages them to question, communicate, consider other perspectives, problem solve, plan and test out their own ideas.

• Be curious and will grow confident in learning about themselves and investigating the world around them.

• See scientific progress through the lens of inclusivity and broad representation, learning about contributions made by a diverse range of people.

• Learn to follow instructions accurately, use equipment safely and evaluate hazards and risks.
