-
Build familiarity and fluency through regular practice, revisiting key ideas in different contexts, and communicate their mathematical thinking through speech, signs, symbols, or practical actions.

-
Be encouraged to think, choose, and problem-solve in ways appropriate to their level of understanding, learning in a safe, respectful environment where effort and mistakes are valued as part of learning.

-
Develop positive attitudes to maths and recognise its importance in everyday life and the wider world, feeling pride in their growing independence and understanding.
