Curriculum Vision:

To empower pupils to enjoy creative ventures in visual art and give opportunities for artistic exploration of the world. Students will experience many sensory materials and have the opportunity to play with their potential to create art in response to a diverse range of artists. They will see the respect that adults have for their artwork and come to understand the value of their own and others vibrant and sensitive creations.

In preparation for adulthood our students will:

  • Practise organising art compositions, tools and materials.

  • Understand the value of playfulness in creativity.

​

  • Develop their self-expression through the exploration of artists, art materials and ideas.

​

  • Communicate their own opinions about art that they study and create in response.

​

  • Grow a finer understanding of their likes and dislikes.

​

  • Develop confidence in their creative expression.
