Curriculum Vision:

At Belvue, Computing empowers all learners, regardless of cognitive ability, to explore, create, and connect through technology. Our aim is to equip students with practical digital skills, understanding, and awareness needed to participate confidently in modern life and the world of work.

 

Students will carry their computing skills into adulthood, ensuring safe, confident, and responsible digital engagement. They will develop a positive digital footprint, reflecting their wise, respectful, and creative use of technology. By understanding the lasting impact of their online actions, students will learn to become exemplary digital citizens, demonstrating Belvue’s core values of kindness, respect, resilience, and responsibility in both their real and digital worlds.

In preparation for adulthood our students will:

​

  • Explore, create, and connect through technology, building the digital skills needed for life and work.

​

  • Learn to use technology safely, protect privacy, and maintain a positive digital footprint that reflects Belvue’s values of kindness, respect, resilience, and responsibility.

​

  • Will be purposeful and independent in a variety of skills, such as using keyboards, touchscreens, and assistive tools independently, and selecting the appropriate software or platform for different tasks.

​

  • Be critical and collaborative in their search and evaluation of information, communicate respectfully online, and collaborate positively with others.

​

  • Develop skills to be lifelong learners in gaining accreditations like AQA iDea in Digital Literacy to Programming, and Media. Students become confident, creative, and responsible digital citizens ready for independence and employability.
