Students help at Horsenden Meadow

Eager students helped to rake and clear the meadows at Horsenden Farm. The task they achieved by removing the hay will ensure the nutrient quality of the ground is suitable for meadow wildflowers. By cutting it, it is kept free from scrub which maintains it as superb habitat for frogs, newts, slow worms, mice and voles.

Park Ranger Jon Staples sent his thanks to staff and students for their wonderful support.

"Thanks so much for your teams help today, great attitude especially with the weather. The positive energy of your students never fails to impress and move me. Please pass on my thanks to your colleague, so nice to have positive encouraging staff"
