Post 16

The Belvue Post 16 is now situated at the main site on Rowdell Road.

All students who attend Belvue High School have an automatic place in our Post 16.

We also accept students from other schools, either in or out of the borough of Ealing with an EHC Plan.

All students continue to study English, Maths, Physical Education and Relationship and Sex Education as core, alongside enrichment activities and a selection of additional vocational subjects.

These subjects have been arranged in conjunction with a number of community partnerships.  The aim of these internal and external programmes is to not only allow students to gain practical skills to improve employability prospects, but also to develop confidence in integrating into the wider community and thereby maximising their own future independence and well-being.

Current opportunities include:

  • Community Projects – working with Haverlock Community and their work with the Canal & River Trust

  • Glass Making Enterprise - Smashing Glass design and make beautiful glass artefacts on site at Open Ealing at Dickens Yard on wednesdays. Students will make lanterns, jewellery, pendants, brooches and a range of mirrors.

  • Grounds maintenance – looking after and maintaining the grounds of the college allotment

  • Hanwell Zoo – working and helping to take care of the animals and assisting to maintain the enclosures and equipment.

  • Horsenden Farm – helping the local rangers and friends of Horsenden to care for and create environments to support the inhabitants and community

  • Horticulture - planting, caring for and maintaining a variety of plants.

  • NHS Trust Ealing, various work experience opportunities

  • Allotment attached to the Year 7 site, planting, caring for and maintaining the range of produce grown there

  • Retail course at Southall College

  • The Litten Nature Reserve in Greenford, helping to maintain the local nature reserve with the park rangers
