PE and Sports Premium funding
PE top up funding has been utilised to provide students with a wider range of Sport and fitness opportunities and experiences not normally available it the context of the schools PE curriculum. The funding has also provided training and resources in relation to developing and implementing the new PE curriculum based around Real PE and the Fundamental Skill Programme which seeks to give young people the key building blocks to develop the physical literacy and self-confidence to participate in sport and fitness outside of school and later in life.
The funding has enabled the schools membership of the Ealing School Sports Partnership which co-ordinates interschool competitions and training days students of all abilities with opportunities to compete in high quality competitions with links to out of school clubs and sporting teams.
The funding has assisted the school in providing proper kit and uniforms for school teams in competition such as Athletics, Cross Country Running, cheerleading and Football. This has had a significantly positive impact on the students’ self-esteem and willingness to compete in larger competitions and to interact with the community.
